Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Jason Mraz, Hayden Panettiere, Paul Rudd, Robin Williams and many more celebrities appear in a new public service announcement from the creators of Oscar-winning documentary “The Cove.” The stars have come together in an effort to raise awareness about the brutal slaughter of dolphins off the coast of Japan.
“The Cove” producer Fisher Stevens reached out to friends like Panettiere, who appears in the film, and to other famous fans of the movie. In honor of Earth Day, the stars are asking you to go to TakePart.com to learn how to write leaders like President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and Japanese authorities and ask for the slaughter practices to be changed.
Panettiere has spent some of her recent time off from “Heroes” in the fishing village of Taiji, Japan, to peacefully discuss income options that don’t involve animal cruelty. It was a risky trip, considering the last time she visited Taiji, a warrant was issued for her arrest when she interfered with a hunt by paddling out into the ocean and bodily protecting the dolphins.

I havent been able to watch the cove yet but have heard so much about it and have been tempted to pick it up everytime I see it when I’m out. I cried just watching this commercial. I admire Hayden SO much as I too am a huge passionate animal lover and recently learning about what they do to dolphins in Japan sent me into tears. I am thankful these celebs are getting the word out and I hope they are full heartedly behind the message. Hayden certainly is! I admire that girl so much. I would have ran into the ocean and bodily protected the dolphins without hesitation, when she walks out of the water crying, I could feel for her so much. :( This breaks my heart, I don’t even have words, those hunters should be..well I won’t say it here…but I despise that place and will continue to raise the awareness about what Japan is doing dolphins no matter what it takes!!!!! Sick disgusting people over there, this world sickens me, those poor precious creatures, I can’t even bear to think about the images alone from the commercial I just tear up. I loathe human beings who hurt/kill animals and I am proud to be a vegetarian!!!! PLEASE save the dolphins!! Any chance could you keep this video posted on the front page of your website to keep raising the awareness??? xx
I know I would be very grateful!
