Neve Campbell talks returning to Scream 4 with Cox-Arquette

Wednesday, Nov 25, 2009

In a recent interview with Blackbook magazine,Neve Campbell makes a short mention of Courteney and returning for Scream 4

So you don’t think you are in any danger of becoming the next Jamie Lee Curtis of the shock-horror world?
Being the next Jamie would be fine! (laughs) In fact, we start shooting Scream 4 in mid-April. I’m so happy that those of us still “alive” from 1, 2 and 3 like David (Arquette) and Courtney (Cox) have already signed up to take part.

Did you all stay in touch after the trilogy had wrapped?
Oh, yes. Completely. I haven’t spoken to them in a while. I’m sure it took a while to convince them to take part [in the picture], especially because they’re now a very happy family ,and of course, it was a long journey for them. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun, and a lot like going back to summer camp.

Cougar Town to Resume Production After Courteney Cox’s “Family Matter”

Tuesday, Nov 24, 2009

Looks like the CoxArquette family is moving past the “family matter” that temporarily halted production on Courteney‘s new ABC comedy, Cougar Town.

A source close to the series just told us:

“We were down last Friday and are on a scheduled hiatus this week. We’ll resume production on Monday.”

Another source reveals that Courteney’s husband, David Arquette, is still working…

Arquette has been putting in long hours on the set of in an independent film, The Land of the Astronauts, which has been shooting in downtown Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley for the past two weeks. A source close to the actor says filming has been business as usual in recent days with “no apparent” family issues interfering.

“David is a pro and seems to talk to his family often,” the source says. Yesterday, the production took a planned day off, but resumed shooting this morning.

So what was the family matter Courteney needed to tend to?

That’s being kept private. A castmember tells us that the cast and crew were told on Thursday that production would be halted on Friday, but not the reason why.

The good news for fans is that, assuming production does get back up and running next Monday, the very brief hiatus will not affect ABC’s planned Cougar Town schedule.

“Cougartown was only down for one day- we’re back shooting after Thanksgiving. I’ll pass along the love for cc!”

This Just In: Cougar Town Shut Down

Monday, Nov 23, 2009

Still no news on what’s happened with Courteney. We’re all very worried and hope something is released soon. Watch with Kristin posted a little something on her blog, doesnt say whats wrong but I thought I’d post it anyway.

Margo in Vail, Colo.: I read that something happened with Courteney Cox that shut down the set of Cougar Town. What’s the latest?

I ran into one of the castmembers Thursday night and can tell you the cast was told that night that production was shutting down, but even the fellow actors were not told the reason why. So it is very hush-hush and presumably, very personal. There’s also no word as to when production will be back up. We certainly hope everyone within the Cox-Arquette camp is OK.

‘Cougar Town’: 3 New Episodes Wrapped Prior To Production Shut Down

Sunday, Nov 22, 2009

ABC’s Cougar Town may have halted production while star Courteney Cox deals with a “private family matter,” but three completed, unaired episodes will keep fans of the hit freshman sitcom satisfied until early 2010. An ABC spokesperson says new Cougar Town episodes are slated for Nov. 25 and Dec. 9, as well as Jan. 6, 2010 (with guest star Lisa Kudrow), which, combined with the eight episodes already aired, would mean the show is halfway through its full-season 22-episode order. An ABC rep had no comment on whether the network had a contingency plan — such as shooting some episodes without Cox’s Jules, and focusing on some of the show’s ensemble players — if Cox’s absence proved to be a long one.
