The 1 Warm Kid Campaign hit the ground running with dozens of celebrities, including Ellen DeGeneres, Courtney Cox, David Arquette and teen Disney stars Cole and Dylan Sprouse, Debby Ryan, and David Henrie donating signed coats to help those in need this winter.

Other young celebs are doing their part to raise awareness and help spread the word. Modern Family’s popular young star Rico Rodriguez made this spot with his sister on behalf of the campaign.

The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness of the growing numbers of families living in poverty and to collect as many coats as possible, all of which will distributed to families in need. The campaign, a partnership between the NGO One Warm Coat and kid retailer P.S. from Aeropostale will run through the end of October.

More than 300 schools from around the country have also signed on to participate.  “We’ve been amazed to see the schools come forward and to see their enthusiasm,” said Sherri Lewis Wood, founder of One Warm Coat, the largest NGO in the country dedicated to donating and distributing free coats to people in need. “It just goes to show you the power young people have to take action to help others in need.”

Anybody who wants to participate can donate a coat right now at a P.S. from Aéropostale store. P.S. from Aéropostale will match every coat donated with a brand new coat: Up to 100,000 coats.
